Updates on data processing
At OpenSesame, keeping our customers informed about the processing of their data is a priority.
On 1 October 2024, OpenSesame will begin using CrowdStrike, specializing in endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and incident response services, as a sub-processor of customer data. This may impact how we use your data.
Please share this message with your legal, compliance, and privacy teams for their reference.
What you need to know
Why is OpenSesame engaging CrowdStrike as a sub-processor? CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity firm focused on safeguarding endpoints, delivering threat intelligence, and providing incident response solutions. Leveraging cloud-native architecture and AI-powered analytics, it detects and mitigates security threats in real-time across diverse devices and networks. In providing these services, CrowdStrike may need to process personal data.
Has OpenSesame conducted a thorough assessment of CrowdStrike before onboarding them as a sub-processor? Yes. As with all OpenSesame vendors, we diligently conducted a comprehensive assessment prior to onboarding CrowdStrike as a sub-processor, ensuring that CrowdStrike meets our stringent standards for data security and privacy. Additionally, we have entered into a Data Processing Agreement with CrowdStrike to establish the terms of personal data processing.
When will this happen?
This change will be reflected in our sub-processors list 30 days after this notification. We appreciate your ongoing trust.
